Dear members and friends of the Lutheran Church of St. Philip,
The council has set the date and time for the next annual congregation meeting as Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. While we had hoped for hybrid (in-person and Zoom) meeting this year, with heightened COVID-19 positivity rates in our community and our pause on in-person worship, this year’s meeting will again be held on Zoom.
Connecting to the Meeting
To join the meeting via an internet-connected computer, tablet, or smartphone, please click here. Alternatively, you can open the Zoom app on your device, click “Join,” and input the Meeting ID: 872 5321 9022.
To join the meeting via a touch-tone phone (landline or mobile), please dial 312-626-6799 and input the Meeting ID above when prompted. If you are prompted for a Participant ID, simply press # (there is no Participant ID). You will then hear a message that you are in the meeting, followed by a message that you are “in the waiting room.” The meeting hosts will admit you as soon as we see your phone number display on our screen.
If you need technical assistance or have any questions, please contact Amanda Smith, Terri Schlangen, or Pastor Josh Evans. We want everyone to have the opportunity to be part of this meeting.
Voting
We hope to handle all voting by voice votes on Zoom. If any vote is close and difficult to determine the outcome, we will then vote via a roll call vote. Our constitution does not allow absentee or proxy voting. Therefore, you must be part of the Zoom call to vote. Only confirmed members of the congregation are eligible to vote. Non-members and associate members are welcome to participate in the meeting but cannot vote.
Agenda and Annual Report
The meeting agenda is included in the 2022 Annual Report. Please take time to read the materials in advance. In order to be good stewards of creation, annual reports will be available electronically. Those without access to email will receive a printed copy in the mail. Others who would like a printed copy may request one by contacting the church office.
